Hello,
I underwent a hair transplant with Dr. Cinik, and I’m going to share my experience with you. I decided to get the procedure two years ago and had a consultation with Dr. Cinik, where we discussed the planning and the number of grafts; a plan involving approximately 4,000–4,500 grafts was made. I had actually intended to have the transplant last summer, but I ended up extending my summer vacation, so I had it done this year instead.
The day before the surgery, I had blood tests and an ECG. On the day of the surgery, they first used a hair analysis device to examine my donor area and scalp. Next, I saw a cardiologist for an echocardiogram it was actually my first time ever having one. Afterward, I had a preliminary examination with Dr. Cinik’s brother; he checked my hair and asked if I had any medical conditions. Finally, I had a consultation with Dr. Cinik himself.
Dr. Cinik asked about all my health issues and allergies right from the start. I told him I smoke and drink alcohol; I even asked if I could smoke during the surgery, but he didn't allow it.
Dr. Cinik asked to see old photos of me. I hadn't brought any pictures from when I still had a full head of hair, but fortunately, I had some on social media. We looked at them together and decided on the hairline.
I wanted a natural hairline nothing perfectly straight and, given my age, I didn't want it placed too low. Dr. Cinik drew the hairline; my spouse was with me, and we both liked it. Then, he explained the plan by sketching it out for me. Since I am somewhat sensitive to pain, I requested sedation; Dr. Cinik referred me to the anesthesiologist. Dr. Ertan, the anesthesiologist, spoke with me, and we decided to proceed with sedation; I had to sign a few additional forms for the procedure.
First, my hair was shaved; I don't remember what happened next due to the sedation, I have no recollection of the following hour. When I started to come to, the graft extraction process was underway.
We took a lunch break around midday, and I used the restroom. The operation lasted approximately 8 hours; a total of 5,150 grafts were implanted a number higher than we had anticipated
which made me very happy. I slept that night following the operation; as I found it difficult to sleep on my back, I took the sleeping medication provided by Dr. Cinik's team.
The washing procedure was performed the next day, and I received the shampoos. It has now been one week; my photos are attached
