I am attaching photos showing the progress of the hair transplant procedure I underwent with Dr. Afonso. 3,000 grafts were recommended, but I believe 3,200 were ultimately implanted.
I have had androgenetic alopecia since I was 16. For 18 years, I have been using 1 mg of finasteride daily and 2% minoxidil (though I don't use the latter very consistently; I almost always apply it once a day instead of the recommended twice). Thanks to these medications and the use of anti-seborrheic shampoo, my hairline recession has slowed down and is now progressing very gradually. I recently decided to address the thinning areas. I do not smoke, I exercise regularly, and I believe I eat a (more or less) healthy diet, so I hope to see satisfactory results.
